Welcome to GIBC
Welcome to Gateshead Indoor Bowling Club, established in 1975. Our membership is in excess of 375.
In 2015 the members took on the club by asset transfer from local council and we became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, run entirely by volunteers.
We welcome all bowlers either experienced or new - with qualified coaches to assist. There is a full programme of leagues - men’s, ladies and mixed. We are continually looking to improve our facilities and have many plans for the future.

LADIES CLASSIC 2023
*ENTRY DEADINE EXTENDED TO FRIDAY 10TH NOVEMBER-STILL A FEW SPACES LEFT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER A TEAM*
THIS YEAR OUR LADIES 3 BOWL OPEN CLASSIC COMPETITION IS ON SATURDAY 25TH NOVEMBER.
This event is always well attended with teams from both Gateshead Indoor Bowling Club and clubs throughout the area.
Entry Fee is £10.50 per team - 4 players may be registered, any 3 to play any game.
There will be a raffle and light refreshments will be available.
Team draw will take place on Friday 10th November

COFFEE MORNING

Despite the awful weather and the bus strike we had a great turn out for our Ladies Coffee Morning
As usual the Tombola table was super busy but we were prepared with extra prizes of sweets, chocolate cans of beer and lovely toiletries and trinkets
The bacon sandwiches were as popular as ever and there was even yummy homemade Dutch Apple pie and custard
Massive thanks as always to our Ladies Committee for their hard work, time and support planning preparing and supporting the event. And a big thank you to our volunteer helpers on the day, not forgetting our Cafe volunteers for the lovely food and refreshments.
Thanks also to our wonderful members for their donations for the hamper, raffles and tombola and to everyone who came and supported the Club on the day - you're all amazing and we couldn't do this without you!!

We had 32 teams competing in our open pairs - it was a great day, and well attended. Our GIBC gems in cafe served everyone proud.
The eventual winners were our very own Kevin King & Michael Simmonette.
